DIY Bath Paints

I had a go at making Luke some DIY bath paints as he’s so into painting and using paint brushes at the moment. It turns out they were a BIG hit!

They’re very quick and easy to make – perfect for whipping up just as you’re filling up the bath. Read on to find out how to make these fabulous DIY Bath Paints.

Plastic pots (they float!)

How To Make DIY Bath Paints:

  • Mix the food colouring and shaving foam together in a plastic pot and pop in the bath with your little one.

Luke adored this activity, it was such a fun thing to do during bath time and he really didn’t want to get out.

Look at that concentration face!

The paints floated because they were in little plastic containers, which was great for Luke as it kept the activity going for ages. The shaving foam lasted a really long time, even though water was getting splashed into the containers and transferred from the paint brushes.

Luke had a lot of fun painting the sides of bath (both sides!), the tiles, himself and my nose!

There were lots of giggles and it was so quick and so easy to set up.

The bath paints were a huge hit and we will definitely be playing with them again!

Next time I make these, I will be adding more, or perhaps using a different brand of food colouring – just to give it a greater depth of colour.
