Milton and InfaCare Review and Giveaway

Eeek, it’s not long to go now until Baby Number 2 graces us with his presence! Things have been very busy at home lately. We have been getting all the hospital bags packed, doing shed loads of washing and just generally preparing for his arrival.

All these preparations have got me thinking about hygiene and cleanliness (nesting, much?). I’ve been thinking about what’s going to work best for my family in terms of sterilisation.

The Microwave Steriliser?

With Luke, I intended to breastfeed for at least six months. I never expected to be using bottles, so a sterilising kit wasn’t something I had put much thought into. Fortunately for me, I had been given an Avent Microwave Steriliser which served me really well when I had to give up breastfeeding and bottle feed Luke. Even though it wasn’t made by them, it also worked great with the Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature bottles I had.

Does the job, but it’s not great for travelling

The microwave steriliser wasn’t the greatest for travel or overnight stays though. It obviously wasn’t a great option for friends and family who would babysit and didn’t have a microwave at home either. Also, although it was great for sterilising the bottles, what about all the other paraphernalia that comes with a baby?

Milton

Milton is well known in the parenting world as being a trustworthy, go to brand for all things hygiene related. With such a vast array of products available to suit every parent’s lifestyle, it’s easy to see why.

Milton Antibacterial Surface Wipes

If you’ve got mucky surfaces that need a wipe (which of course you do, you have a child!), Milton have you covered with their Antibacterial Surface Wipes. This small packet contains 30 wipes that kill bacteria and viruses in 30 seconds. The antibacterial wipes are bleach-free, fragrance-free and work quickly to clean and disinfect all surfaces in the home, as well as when you’re out and about.

These wipes work wonders for baby items like high chairs, change mats, potties and baby baths. They’re also useful to clean up mucky floors under the high chair, table tops, phones, toilet seats and loads more. If you want it clean, Milton Antibacterial Wipes will do the job for you.

Having a pack of these for the home is a no-brainer, but adding a pack of these to your change bag for when you’re out and about adventuring is a game changer!

Milton Sterilising Tablets

The cold water sterilisation method has been used by parents and midwives for over 70 years. Killing 99.9% of germs and leaving baby items sterile for 24 hours, the tablets are perfect for home, travel and over night stays. There’s no need to rinse the bottles or baby items afterwards either, just drop one tablet into 5l of clean cold water, let the tablet dissolve and wait 15 minutes. Easy!

The tablets are perfect for sterilising breastfeeding equipment and feeding accessories, as well as soothers, teething rings, small plastic toys, cutlery and weaning bowls. You’ve got to love a product that will serve you well from the newborn stages, to the challenges of weaning and beyond. Milton Sterilising Tablets are really easy to use and you don’t need to stand in the kitchen waiting for your microwave to beep. The drawback to using cold water sterilisation is that you need to wait longer, but the advantages mean it’s fuss free and you don’t find yourself dealing with boiling water and steam.

It’s Not Just The Bottles That Need To Be Clean

New parents are bombarded with information about how to bathe their babies and keep them nice and clean. As with all advice you receive, you need to take what’s relevant to you and discard the rest. If it doesn’t work for you, it’s not worth your precious time or energy.

InfaCare Baby Bath

It’s all jolly well me talking about the cleanliness of objects around the house or out and about. But what about the cleanliness and hygiene of your baby?

Ultra Mild

InfaCare Baby Bath has an ultra mild formula that gently cleans and cares for your baby’s skin. Clinical testing shows that InfaCare is gentle on your baby’s sensitive skin, is pH balanced and has been formulated not to irritate delicate skin.

A Little Goes A Long Way

The best thing about the InfaCare Baby Bath Ultra Mild baby bath is that a little goes a long, long way. Just one small squeeze under the tap is all you need to create loads of long lasting bubbles. Although, if you have an older child who insists on pouring their baths themselves, you’ll probably find yourself using a bit more and getting a lot of bubbles!

Luke loves a good bubble bath. So do I. Who doesn’t? InfaCare baby bath is absolutely perfect for him because I know that while he’s sat in the bath, the bubbles and soap that are cleaning him are safe and especially formulated for children’s skin.

The Ultra Mild InfaCare Baby Bath that I have been using is gentle enough for babies over a month old to use. This is great, as it means in a few months time I can ease the stress of bath time and washing Luke and Baby Number 2 together. I’ll be safe in the knowledge that the bath wash I’m using is safe for both my boys, despite the age difference.

These products are so important especially when you have young children, I remember I used to swear by baby wipes and could not have survived without them when my kids were young. Fab contest too.

This would be wonderful for my youngest daughter who is expecting her first baby in November. I’m so excited! ☺
