Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Glass Bowl
  • Skewers
  • Scissors/Sharp Knife
  • Baking Paper

Ingredients

  • 3 Apples
  • 1.5 bars Chocolate
  • Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  • Start by breaking the chocolate into squares and placing them in the glass bowl. This but is especially fun for the kids; you must taste test the chocolate frequently.

  • Pour water into the saucepan and heat gently. Place the glass bowl on top of the pan so the chocolate starts to melt.

  • While the chocolate is melting, skewer the bottom of your apples. Make sure you don’t stick the skewer all the way through the apple and stab your hand! Cut the skewers with scissors or a knife so the sticks are shorter and the apples are easier to hold.

  • Give the chocolate a stir with a metal spoon and once it’s melted, dunk your apples in, using the spoon to help cover the top and sides of your apple with chocolate.

  • Decorate your apple with sprinkles. We used Halloween themed sprinkles, but colourful hundreds and thousands look great too.

  • Pop your apples on some baking paper and leave them in the fridge to set. Wait a few hours before eating.
