British Boxers: Woman’s Hipster Boxer Brief Review

Is there a nicer feeling than slipping into brand new, super comfy underwear? I’m not so sure that there is – unless you combine it with also climbing into a freshly made bed after a long, luxurious soak in the bath. I love comfy undies; as a mum of two, I seldom find myself wearing anything too extravagant and saucy now – it’s pure comfort all the way for me. So, when I was contacted by the lovely people at British Boxers and asked if I wanted to try out their Woman’s Hipster Boxer Briefs, I immediately responded with a big “yes please”. So, if you’re looking to purchase some new, extra soft and comfortable underwear, you should definitely read my British Boxers review first, so let’s get started.

British Boxers Review

British Boxers is a UK-based clothing company that works tirelessly to design gorgeous nightwear for men, women, and children. There are several categories of comfortable clothing available on the British Boxers website; you can find anything from underwear to dressing gowns, and everything in between. In fact, you can even set yourself up with a British Boxers underwear subscription that delivers new undies to your door on a monthly basis! In today’s British Boxers review, I’m going to be talking about the Woman’s Hipster Boxer Briefs. I will be delving into the following review categories and sharing my thoughts on:

  • Comfort
  • Design
  • Sizing and Fit
  • Price

Let’s get started!

British Boxers Review: Comfort Level

First and foremost, I have to talk to you about how amazingly comfortable this underwear is. When I was asked to do a British Boxers review, I noted that the hipster briefs were made from a mix of 180gsm bamboo fabric and a little elastane for some added stretch. My initial thought was that the underwear would be comfortable, perhaps similar to wearing cotton underwear, however, it seems that I vastly underestimated the people at British Boxers.

The Woman’s Hipster Boxer Briefs are, without a doubt, the softest underwear that I have ever worn. The bamboo fabric is very light and soft, making it a pleasure to wear, even on long and stressful days. The waistband on the Hipster Briefs is silky and comfortable – the change in fabrics doesn’t take away from the comfort of these hipster briefs at all – and I love how the designers thought about combining the silk waistband with the soft bamboo fabric.

Overall, the hipster briefs are a solid 10/10 on the comfort scale. With that said, let’s move on to looks.

British Boxers Aren’t Just Comfy, They Look Great Too

The British Boxers hipster briefs are essentially like boxers for women. They look similar to men’s classic boxers, but they are more form-fitting. The bamboo fabric hugs your curves in all the right places and looks wonderful when worn.

I personally love the waistband, as I’m a big fan of underwear that features bands like these. It’s something that appeals to me, and I know that other people appreciate waistbands too. I think that they make the undergarment stronger and last longer, which is something I am all for.

The hipster briefs don’t ride up when wearing jeans, although they are noticeable if you plan to wear leggings. Even if you are wearing squat-proof leggings, the seam lines are still visible, so that’s something to consider before purchasing if you wear leggings a lot of the time.

For the purpose of this British Boxers review, I ordered some of the Hipster Boxer Briefs in ‘Sunshine’. These colours are so bright and vibrant, I absolutely love them! I’m pleased to report that, even after washing them all several times, the colour doesn’t fade at all.

British Boxers Review: What About The Fit?

Next up, let’s talk about the sizing of the British Boxers underwear.

Before purchasing, I recommend taking a look at the size guide. The sizing ranges from Petite (UK 8), to XXL (UK 18). I personally don’t agree with the way the sizes are labelled, as I wouldn’t regard a UK size 18 as an XXL. Because of the way the sizes were labelled, I was worried that the size I’d ordered would be tight, as, in my experience, clothing companies that only span to a size UK 18 tend to have smaller, tighter-fitting clothing.

However, I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the boxer briefs fit me perfectly, and even had room to spare. The briefs are made from 95% Bamboo Viscose and 5% Elastane, making them not only extremely soft but also stretchy and comfortable. I would say that the fit was true to size, and also that there is also plenty of room for stretching, which is great as we all know our bodies change over the course of the month. So if you’re worried about a little weight gain or bloating, don’t be, as these briefs are stretchy, soft, and comfortable.

British Boxer Review: Price

Now it’s time the the biggy: the price. Usually, the Sunshine pack of Boxer Briefs I ordered from British Boxers costs £72, but they are currently on sale at only £36 (as of September ‘24). That may seem a little steep at first glance, especially if you’re like me, and you’re used to buying your undies in packs of 5 from Tesco! However, if you break the pricing down, you really do get a lot for your money.

Firstly, the pack of boxer briefs includes 4 pairs of underwear. If you work it out, that means that for each pair of boxer briefs, you’re paying around £9 (based on the sale price).

Secondly, it’s worth remembering that these are seriously comfy pairs of underwear. They hug your curves, look great, and allow your body to move freely without constriction.

They’re made from quality materials, built to last, packed wonderfully, designed in the UK, and manufactured in the UK and Europe where workers are paid a proper wage.

British Boxers Produce Luxurious Nightwear For The Whole Family

I have to say, I have really enjoyed putting together this British Boxers review for you all. If you’re looking to refresh your underwear drawer, pick up some new cosy pyjamas, or indulge yourself with a luxurious new robe, British Boxers is the place to go! Their products are lovingly made with quality materials and they really do not scrimp when it comes to customer comfort and satisfaction. I will be making future purchases from British Boxers, and I definitely recommend them to anyone searching for extra comfortable nightwear.
