How to Get More Traffic to Your Blog

AD/Collaborative Content.

It can be deflating to dedicate a lot of time and passion into writing blog posts, only for a handful of people to actually read them. Patience and dedication are important but there are lots of other things you can do to help improve your chances of people finding your blog. The more traffic you receive, the easier it will be to monetise your blog and you’ll be able to turn it into a source of income, rather than just a hobby. Read on for some tips from an SEO agency I’ve been working with in Potters Bar.

Always share your blog posts on social media. It’s good to use platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter to build relationships with other bloggers and just people in general, because they will then be excited to visit your blog when you share a new post. Include all of the appropriate hashtags in your posts so that you reveal your blog posts to a larger audience of potential readers. You can also engage with people by leaving thoughtful comments on their own blog posts.

Be sure to post on a regular basis and include suitable keywords. You can’t expect traffic to increase if you’re not consistent with your posts. It might help if you plan ahead and get a few written up and once and schedule them in. Generally, it’s wise to follow SEO best practise, by including things like meta titles and descriptions and image ALT tags. Ideally, you want to optimise your blog as much as possible with the aim to improve your domain authority. You might also want to set up an email marketing campaign so that you can alert your subscribers when a new post goes live.

Even the best blogger in the world will have gone through challenging times at one point or another, but the trick is to stay motivated and power through the tough times. It’ll be worth it in the end!
