Review: Organic Shop Haircare Range
I’ve had a bit of a rough pregnancy, but one of the good things that comes with being pumped full of hormones is that your hair starts growing quickly and the texture usually gets thicker and fuller. Unfortunately, these wonderful pregnancy side effects don’t last, but for now, I’m very happy to reap the rewards of having a bun in the oven.
Thicker, Fuller Hair
So thanks to those glorious pregnancy hormones, my hair has been growing quickly and has become thicker too. I already had thick hair to start with, but now it’s really lovely and voluminous. However, I do tend to dye my hair, straighten it, curl it and blow dry it. All of these actions have adverse effects on my beautiful hair, so it’s often in need of some TLC.
Organic Shop Haircare
For the past month or so, I’ve been trying out a brand new haircare range that’s available exclusively in Tesco stores, or online at www.organicshop.co.uk. The demand for more natural, cruelty free beauty products to be readily available on the high street is at an all time high, so Organic Shop has launched a new range fun and fruity themed products, retailing at £2.50 per product. Rest assured that you’ll find no microbeads, parabens, silicons, mineral oils or GMOs in the Organic Shop ingredient lists – just great stuff, that’s cruelty free and packaged in 100% recyclable packaging.
Argan and Amla – nourishing, strength and striking lustre range
I have been trying out the Argan and Amla – nourishing, strength and striking lustre range. Over the past month or so, I’ve been using the Argan and Amla shampoo, conditioner and hair mask. The combination of ingredients (organic Moroccan argan oil) used in this haircare range are designed to repair damaged hair and give it vitality and shine – something that my damaged hair definitely needed.
I’m pleased to say that the products all smell lovely and are easy to use. The shampoo leathers up easily, although thanks to my extra long, extra thick pregnancy hair, I do have to pump the bottle quite a few times to ensure I get enough of the product out – I’d love it if the pump action bottles came in a bigger size, as the ones currently for sale are 280ml, and I have to pump quite a few times to get the right amount of product for my length of hair. However, that is me just being nit picky, as the shampoo and conditioners definitely did what they said they would and have restored a lovely shine and healthy look to my hair. There are tons of awesome organic shampoos and conditioners out there, so you’ll definitely find something you love!
The Argan and Amla hair mask is my favourite product from the three that I have been trying. I never used to both with hair masks as I didn’t see the point in them, but now I love them. This one is thick, creamy and indulgent, smells incredible and does an amazing job at hydrating and repairing my hair. Again, the hair mask features organic Moroccan argan oil that is rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids and vitamin E, which helps to restore the hair’s elasticity – making dull, lifeless hair a thing of the past.
I’m definitely a fan of this range, it’s done exactly what it promised it would. The hair mask adds an element of luxury to my weekly pampering sessions and with all the products only costing £2.50, you just can’t go wrong!
Other Organic Shop Haircare Ranges
It’s all jolly well and good me harping on about hair products that nourish and repair damaged hair, but what if you don’t have damaged hair? Well Organic Shop released a whole selection of scents and products to suit all different kinds of hair.
Coconut and Shea nourishes your hair from root to tip, providing a hydration boost and a fix for split ends and frizzy hair. Honey and Avocado is an ultra-rich range teaming with natural goodness for rejuvenating hair and promoting strong, healthy hair growth. Raspberry and Acai help to strengthen your hair with vitamin A, E and B, as well as removing traces of oil and dirt, to ensure you have luscious, bouncy locks. Pomegranate and Patchouli leaves your hair looking super silky and shiny thanks to the organic patchouli oil that gives an incredible hydration boost and leaves your hair irresistibly silky.

That sounds like a great range of hair products and very reasonably priced for organic. I’ll have to give the hair mask a try as my hair is quite dry so the coconut and shea sounds like it would be good.
Lukeosaurus And Me
The hair masks are my favourite, they’re so effective and I’ve had a sniff of all the products and they all smell glorious!
