How To Make Lip Scrub

Hello everyone!

Summer is coming (trying really hard not to think of Game Of Thrones right now!) and we all know the importance of looking after our skin during the sunny weather; but we also need to look after our lips.

Lip Scrubs are a girls best friend – well, in the lip skin-care department, anyway – because they exfoliate and get rid of the outer layer of dead skin sitting on your lips, leaving your lips feeling silky smooth, soft and kissable. Using lip scrub also makes your lips hold more moisture, preventing them from cracking and, if that wasn’t enough, the smoother the lip surface, the longer lip products are going to stay put (great news for lip stick fans).

Lip Scrubs also happen to be great because you have make a basic lip scrub at home from ingredients you will almost certainly have stored away in your cupboard.

How To Make Lip Scrub

You’ll need:

  • 1 teaspoon of edible oil (olive, sunflower, coconut – I used olive oil)
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 2 tea spoons of sugar (the coarser the better – I used demerara)

With clean hands, rub this all over your lips in tiny circular motions. Using lip scrub is really easily incorporated into your skin care regime and I recommend you do it at least once a week.

Once you’ve rubbed it all in, rinse really well and pat your lips dry.

Pop on some of your favourite lip balm and you’re good to go!

If you give this a go, please let me know how you get on in the comments!
