Best places to visit when travelling from Hurghada

Hurghada is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Egypt thanks to its gorgeous location within the Red Sea Governorate, its lively nightlife, and flourishing water sports facilities. What was once a small fishing village is now a popular location with tourists and offers holiday goers the opportunity to partake in many exciting activities, including windsurfing, scuba diving, and yachting.

Hurghada, although beautiful, is often used as a base location for tourists looking to travel to other bucket list locations around Egypt, including visiting the capitol, Cairo, and other areas such as Upper Egypt and the Delta. With this being said, it’s extremely likely that Hurghada is on your list of places to visit, or even stay if you are in the middle of planning an exciting adventure in Egypt.

With some great opportunities to explore the local area, as well as the opportunity to take advantage of some stunning package deals that will take you further afield, Hurghada really is a fantastic destination to book a hotel and set up your home away from home. So, without further ado, let’s talk about the best places to visit when travelling from Hurghada.

Hurghada Excursions

If you’re looking for the best places to visit when travelling from Hurghada, you’re in the right place. Before we start talking in too much depth about the beautiful scenic destinations and bubbling city life that awaits you, it’s first worth mentioning the type of excursions on offer.

Not all travel packages are the same – this is something that the travel experts at Landious Travel are well aware of. All tourists have different budgets and different preferences when it comes to how they travel, and who they travel with. That’s why Landious Travel has put together three well designed and thought out excursion deals, so let’s take a closer look.

Group Excursions

When looking for the best places to visit from Hurghada, the cheapest way to explore the surrounding areas is to book yourself a group excursion. Group excursions in Hurghada provide tourists with the perfect budget friendly solution when it comes to seeing the sights and partaking in activities. This type of excursion deal will use vehicles such as buses or boats and there will be a large number of other tourists present for you to chat to and enjoy the ride with. Many of the other tourists partaking in this excursion will come from other areas and hotels around Hurghada and the neighbouring resorts.

Individual Excursions

On the opposite side of the scale, you will find luxurious individual excursions. For those seeking to find the best places to travel from Hurghada without the noise and chaos of all the other tourists, individual excursions offer a peaceful and private solution allowing you to travel in comfort without wasting time waiting around for other passengers. Typically the vehicles used on individual excursions are smaller and may include limousines, minibuses, or boats. The excursion is more expensive than the other options but it does offer you privacy and comfort.

Minibus Excursions

Lastly, the pros at Landious Travel have recently come up with a third option to allow tourists to see the sights and partake in activities in a more comfortable way, but without the higher price tag. Minibus trips are a happy medium between group and individual excursions and offer small groups a brilliant way to travel from Hurghada. Look out for trips for small groups if you’re looking for a cost effective way to go to some of the best places to visit from Hurghada.

What are the best places to visit when travelling from Hurghada?

Once you’ve decided on the excursion package that works for you, it’s time to get yourself out there and enjoy some of the breath-taking and awe-inspiring sights that Egypt has to offer! Below is just a small list of some of the best places to visit when travelling for Hurghada; there really is so much choice so be sure to plan your trips carefully to ensure you can cram in as much as possible!

Cairo Excursion From Hurghada

No trip to Egypt is complete without a trip to Egypt’s capital city, Cairo. For most tourists, the main appeal behind a trip to Cairo is, of course, to visit the pyramids. There are so many reasons why you should make sure that visiting the Great Pyramids of Giza is on your travel bucket list, but my personal favourite is the chance to see one of the seven wonders of the ancient world with your very own eyes. What an incredible sight to behold!

Valley of Queens Luxor Excursion from Hurghada

For the best places to visit when travelling from Hurghada, you cannot discount Luxor. The Valley Of The Queens Luxor excursion takes you on a guided trip to the valley of the Queens, allowing you to see the vast Karnak Temple complex in all its glory, as well as the perfume hall. After this, you’re treated to lunch before jumping on a boat across the mighty Nile River and travelling to the Western Bank of Luxor. In the western part of Luxor, you are able to see the temple of Amenhotep III and the remaining Colossi of Memnon -two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, which stand at the front of the ruined Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III.

But wait, that’s not all. After this, you will head off to the local Alabaster factory where tourists are welcome to purchase souvenirs, before finally visiting the Valley of the Queens. Here you will see three tombs, and ultimately, you will head to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.

Giftun Island Excursion in Hurghada

For those looking for something a little slower, the Giftun Island excursion is a lovely way to take in some of the amazing scenery and enjoy a well earned sunbathing session on the island’s golden sands. For the price of this excursion, you not only receive soft drinks, but also the onboard lunch. The boat will take you from Hurghada and out into the ocean for a spot of open sea swimming and snorkelling, before allowing you to disembark on Giftun Island and enjoy its stunning golden beach.

There are many great places to visit from Hurghada.

Hurghada is a hub of activity for tourists who enjoy a good bit of nightlife and partake in water-based activities, however, it’s also a fantastic place to meet other like-minded travellers and embark on a new adventure to another of Egypt’s beautiful destinations.
