When the opportunity arises to sample some delicious cake, I am definitely not one to turn said offer down! Therefore, when a cute local business, Caketoppers, sent me some personalised photo cupcakes to munch on, I was over the moon. Who doesn’t love receiving cake in the post?
Of course, when ordering personalised cup cakes, there are three main things that you need to take into consideration:
- The delivery
- The quality of the printed image
- The taste
Delivery
The delivery was very speedy; I was actually pleasantly surprised at how quickly the cakes arrived and how well packaged and secure they were. The Caketoppers cupcakes were individually wrapped and placed carefully in a cardboard packing box, kept safe from bumping around inside by a healthy amount of large bubble wrap. All this meant that when the cakes arrived, they were in perfect condition.
Quality of Personalised Image
The personalised image I had requested was printed beautifully. With the copper toned text in my logo, sometimes printers can struggle with matching colour and often the text has a bit of a greenish hue to it. Caketoppers managed to take my logo and put it on a cake without any colours leaking or fading.
Over all, the personalised printed icing was perfect!
The Taste
Let’s move on to the next important thing: the taste!
I decided I wouldn’t keep all the greatness to myself, so I shared my Caketoppers cupcakes (a little bit at least) with my other half, who’s eyes lit up as soon as he tasted it.
I received a sponge cupcake and a chocolate cupcake and they both tasted absolutely amazing. The icing under the printed image was lovely on both cakes, but it was especially tasty on the chocolate sponge cake. The cakes themselves were full of flavour and lovely and moist. Chocolate cake isn’t really my bag, but if I had a chocolate cake from Caketoppers to myself, I would definitely demolish it all, regretting absolutely nothing.
Over all, I would recommended Caketoppers Ltd if you’re ever in need a high quality personalised cake or some beautifully tasty fancy cupcakes – they make excellent birthday cakes or gifts, and Caketoppers are also happy to cater for larger events.
