I think it’s safe to say we can start talking about Christmas now. I know its September but when you’re a mum, you’ve got to plan ahead for these things! Money can be tight, especially as your family grows, so starting to think about Christmas little early works for us. It means we can enjoy the festive season without experiencing anxiety over money.

This time last year, I’d already started my Christmas shopping. I’d bought all the special ‘First Christmas’ things for Oscar and matching children’s outfits for both the boys. This year we’ve had several conversations with the kids about what advent calendars we should all get! These days there are just so many to choose from. Luke loves the Lego ones and I love the traditional draw advent calendars that you fill with your own little surprises. I think I’m going to get one of those for Oscar, but who knows what you put in an advent calendar for a 1 year old! 

Personally, I am a huge fan of the special advent calendars. It’s nice to be able to treat yourself at Christmas, as well the kids. I love a good seasonal scent so the AirPure Scented Candle Advent Calendar will definitely be on my list. A candle a day will make our home feel lovely and cosy and they all sound like such lovely wintery scents. I can’t wait to get my hands on one!
