4 Quick Valentine’s Crafts
It’s nearly Valentine’s day, hurrah!
I have 4 quick and easy Valentine’s Day crafts to make with the kids to help show mummy, daddy, the grandparents, or step parents just how much they’re loved. There are crafts for toddlers and small children upwards to do – they’re quick and simple, making them the ideal last minute Valentine’s Day gift or just something nice and crafty to do with the kids one afternoon.
Last year, Luke and I made an adorable Salt Dough Valentine’s Day Family for step daddy, James. I made the salt dough while he was napping (using the microwave to ‘cook’ it – as explained in the post) and then let Luke loose with the paint. My OH loved them and they’re still hanging up now!
Both my OH and I are massive bookworms, so these DIY Pom Pom Bookmarks make great gifts. They’re easy to do with small children as well as teens and adults. There’s even a video to show you how to make them if you get stuck.
With toddlers, sometimes it’s hard for them to express how they feel – so how about crafting one of these adorable “I Love You To Pieces” Valentine’s Day Cards? Made using recycled wrapping paper or scraps from other arty projects, it’s a great way to let your toddler’s creative juices flow.
If you’re a fan of the watercolour phase that’s around at the moment, or you know someone who is, this gorgeous Toddler Watercolour LOVE Picture Gift is the perfect gift for someone this Valentine’s Day! Probably one of my favourite Valentine’s Day gifts, and probably one of my favourite toddler made gifts of all time, this little cutie makes me smile every time I see it. It’s easy to make or a nice stiff bit of white card, or alternatively, it would look amazing on a nice square canvas, it’s the perfect, relatively mess free Valentine’s Day craft .
Feel free to pin any of the above for later!
What gifts have you been making for Valentine’s Day this year? Also, what has been your favourite home made gift to date? Let me know in the comments, or drop me a tweet!
