Summer is on the way, woohoo! I can’t wait to start on my summer wardrobe thanks to my new found body confidence. I’m also looking forward to sorting out our packing essentials for our long awaited family holiday to Cornwall. I’m feeling really positive about summer 2019 and everything that we’ve got going on. Most importantly, I’m feeling really positive about myself and feeling comfortable in my own skin for the first time since the birth of Luke. I might even think that I look pretty damn good while I’m sunning myself on a Cornish beach – I’m taking my self love to the next level and learning to like what I’ve got!

I’m looking forward to picking up some essentials for the summer holidays. Mostly I’m looking forward to buying all the dresses and summer accessories. Since finding out that I need to wear glasses earlier this year, I’m also going to have to sort out some prescription sunnies because the thought of not being able to see anything while on holiday does not appeal to me!

Since I’m feeling great at the moment and have been practicing lots of self love, self care and self worth rituals, I thought I’d write this post about summer fragrances. I truly believe that scents and fragrances are directly connected to our moods and mental health. That’s why I always have scented candles dotted around and leads to me writing posts like this: The Best Seasonal Scents For Autumn and Winter. I think that wearing a perfume that makes you feel happy and good about yourself is a great way to start the day off and should allow you to get yourself into a positive state of mind.

Here are my top women’s fragrance picks for the summer. There are some summer fragrances here that smell heavenly and make me feel amazing, and there are also one or two that I’m dying to try because I’ve heard fantastic feedback about them! It’s relaxing, irresistible and exhilarating thanks to the gorgeous sand jasmine, sea spray and mandarin scents. This is right at the top of my shopping list for summer!

Donna Karen – Cashmere Mist Eau de Parfum

If sophistication is your thing, then Cashmere Mist could become your new staple fragrance. It’s great for summer as it features some lovely light floral notes (lily of the valley, ylang ylang and jasmine) while combining them with some earthy tones. With a touch of amber and musk, this isn’t as light as the other fragrances mentioned and doesn’t scream ‘playful’. Instead, it emits sophistication and maturity, making you feel confident, empowered and ready to take on the world.

All of these fragrances are amazing and I can’t wait for the weather to heat up a little more so I can make the most of them.

The Bobbi Brown ‘Beach’ scent is at the top of my summer shopping list and I think it’ll probably be the summer fragrance that travels to Cornwall with me.
